Ingredients

  • Butter for greasing pan

  • Cocoa for dusting pan

  • 1 cup butter

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 4 eggs

  • 3/4 cup flour

  • 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder

  • 1 cup roasted nuts (walnuts work well)

Nothing is more comforting than brownies fresh from the oven.

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan with softened butter. Dust with cocoa powder.
  • Combine butter, sugars, salt, vanilla, and eggs in a large bowl. Whisk until thoroughly combined.
  • Sift flour and cocoa powder into mixture. Whisk until combined, then fold in roasted nuts.
  • Pour into pan and bake for about 45 minutes.
