Ingredients

  • 2 cups sifted flour

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 lb butter

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 cups finely chopped nuts, preferably pecans

  • Confectioner's sugar for coating

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • In bowl, sift together flour, sugar, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix together butter and dry ingredients; add vanilla and nuts and combine.
  • Lightly grease a baking sheet.
  • Create ½-inch balls with dough and place 1 inch apart on baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20 minutes until lightly browned; roll in confectioner's sugar while still warm.
