Onion Sauté

Ingredients

  • 4 cups yellow or white onions, sliced into rings

  • 1 pinch saffron powder (optional)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 2 tsp fresh, chopped parsley

  • 2 tsp fresh, chopped chives

  • 2 tsp fresh, chopped thyme

  • 2 tsp olive oil

Herbaceous onions that are so tender, you'll want to put them on everything.

Directions

  • Break apart onion slices into individual rings and place in large mixing bowl.
  • Mix saffron, salt, and pepper; mix in fresh herbs.
  • Sprinkle seasoning mixture over onion rings, tossing to combine evenly.
  • Heat oil over medium heat in non-stick pan. Add onions and sauté for approximately 8 minutes, or until onions are tender.
