Key Lime Pie

Ingredients

  • Crust8 honey graham crackers

  • 2 Tbs brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup melted butter

  • Filling1 cup freshly squeezed key lime juice

  • 2 tsp key lime zest

  • 5 egg yolks

  • 1 14 oz can condensed milk

  • Topping1 cup heavy cream

  • 3 Tbs sugar

With each bite, you can practically taste the warm Florida sun.

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Zest and juice the limes into a bowl. Add condensed milk and egg yolks. Whisk together until well combined. Let stand to thicken while you prepare the crust.
  • Combine graham crackers, brown sugar, and butter in a food processor until well combined. Press the crumbs into a pie plate.
  • Pour filling into pie shell. Bake for 10–15 minutes or just until center is set but still wiggly. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
  • Before serving, add cream and sugar to a large bowl. Beat until light and fluffy. Top pie with cream before serving.
