Southern Fried Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil for frying

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 2 Tbs Southern spice blend (or Cajun seasoning), divided

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 4 bone-in pork chops

Bring this old favorite back from the past.

Directions

  • Preheat oil for frying.
  • Prepare the pork chops. Beat the eggs in a bowl and add 1 tablespoon of the seasoning to the eggs; mix thoroughly.
  • Pour the eggs over the pork in a bowl and let this set, covered, for about 15 minutes.
  • Mix the flour and the other 1 tablespoon of seasoning together.
  • Dredge the pork in the flour and fry at 350°F over medium heat until the pork chops are golden brown.
  • Drain the pork chops on paper towels or a clean kitchen towel.
