Dutch Oven Cobbler

Ingredients

  • Filling3 cups frozen strawberries

  • 1 can sliced peaches

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup biscuit baking mix

  • Topping2 1/4 cups baking mix

  • 1/2 cup sugar, divided

  • 4 Tbs butter, room temperature

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

One taste of this strawberry cobbler and you'll want to jump the Double Dutch with joy!

Directions

  • Lightly grease the Dutch oven and preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Combine the frozen strawberries and peaches in a large mixing bowl. Toss fruit with sugar and biscuit baking mix; mix until well coated and then pour into the Dutch oven.
  • Next combine baking mix, 1/4 cup sugar, butter, milk, and vanilla until just combined (it’s ok if it's lumpy).
  • Using your hands or a spoon, scoop out balls of dough and drop onto the fruit in the Dutch oven. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until the biscuits have turned a golden brown with fruit bubbling through the cracks in the dough.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool before serving with vanilla ice cream or your favorite whipped topping.
